That is not at all what Trump said. Had you listened to the full interview you would have understood. Trump is total misquoted. Nothing new.

"Trump is total misquoted"

If so, too bad he never gives the same grace to others.

Feel free to show what he really said, no let me.

“SCARBOROUGH: Israeli or Palestinian?

TRUMP: I don’t want to get into it for a different reason, Joe, because if I do win, there has to be a certain amount of surprise, unpredictability, our country has no unpredictability. If I win, I don’t want to be in a position where I’m saying to you, and the other side now say, “We don’t want Trump involved, we don’t want” - let me be sort of a neutral guy, let’s see what - I’m going to give it a shot. It would be so great.”

Yes nothing like telling your allies .. we may or may not have your back when you need us because I need unpredictability.. sounds a bit “like after the election I will have more flexibility”

I’m not sold on Trump myself, but I have to agree with you. The quote is taken entirely out of context. He prefaced his “neutrality” statement with some pretty intelligent statements that I agree with. It is, as he said, probably one of the toughest deals to make, that a lasting peace agreement may not be possible, but said he’d give it “one hell of a shot”; one of the most complete and insightful answers I’ve heard him give to a question.

His statement that he’s neutral was in response to Scarborough’s question as to who’s to blame for the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. Given that the role of the president would be that of a mediator, to answer definitively as to who’s to blame, would destroy any negotiations before they begin.

I happen to agree with him that it’s not possible and I do think the Palestinians and their “leadership” are to blame, but then I’m not the mediator.

I did. If you can’t take sides on this issue you are a liberal.
