I’m not sold on Trump myself, but I have to agree with you. The quote is taken entirely out of context. He prefaced his “neutrality” statement with some pretty intelligent statements that I agree with. It is, as he said, probably one of the toughest deals to make, that a lasting peace agreement may not be possible, but said he’d give it “one hell of a shot”; one of the most complete and insightful answers I’ve heard him give to a question.
His statement that he’s neutral was in response to Scarborough’s question as to who’s to blame for the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. Given that the role of the president would be that of a mediator, to answer definitively as to who’s to blame, would destroy any negotiations before they begin.
I happen to agree with him that it’s not possible and I do think the Palestinians and their “leadership” are to blame, but then I’m not the mediator.
Levin has really gone over the edge. He outright lies and doesn’t bat an eye over it any more. BOUGHT and paid for.

Now, to be fair to Mark Levin, it might all be about ‘love’ and his fiance’s ties to Ted Cruz. After all, he certainly wouldn’t be the first man to throw out his ethics for ‘love’.

The last sentence of Netanyahu’s statement signaled an understanding of Trump’s position. He too was coming under opprobrium for putting his country’s interests first.
Neither Netanyahu nor Trump is a man to stand on ceremony. Each is the sort of person to pick up a phone and call the other to discuss next steps in a sticky situation. Those who read Netanyahu’s statement as dissing Trump are either committing a sciolism or being intentionally nasty.
