As its relationships with the United States, Europe and Turkey have deteriorated since its interventions in Ukraine and Syria, one country Moscow remained on good terms with is Israel.
This reflects the increasingly friendly Russian-Israeli relationship since Pres. Vladimir Putin first burst on the scene. Putin visited Israel twice â in 2005 and 2012 â making him the first Russian leader to ever travel to the Jewish state. While there, he went to the Western Wall â Judaismâs holiest site â as well as Israelâs Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial, where Putin observed a moment of silence.

Seems to me they redeployed units from the Lebanin israel border to fight in northwestern SYRIA

The Iranians have lost some very high ranking military commanders in SYRIA
The entire arrangement suggests very skillful and delicate negotiations among israel SYRIA and Iran

Not really. The Iranians have always supplied Hezbollah, with weapons come from them, Russia, China, N.Korea. Since Obama has dealt a multi billion dollar windfall to the IRI, they have plenty of $$ to supply Hezbollah.
New reports that Israel just struck some Syrian army post near Damascus. Israelis look out for Israelis first, and who could blame them.

Likely, they're allies in Syria. Israel has made it clear they'll strike weapons moving into Lebanon, or threatening Israel. And have done it, as recently as yesterday. With no complaints from Russia or Syria.
Been hearing a lot of military airplanes to the East lately. That would explain it.
