No Ann, I don't know that he will do all of that. Or do any of that. The belief that he will actually do all of that is much of what separates his supporters from the rest of us. What none of us know is this: how is he going to respond when Congress won't approve a 40 foot wall on the entire border, and Mexico really won't pay for it? What does he do then, when his pre-election bluster meets legislative/legal reality?
I don't know, and neither does anyone else because the guy has absolutely zero track record. Is he just going to drop it and say "sorry, guys, I tried and Congress/courts wouldn't let me?" Is he going to cut some kind of deal to get at least some of what he wants, and if so, what is he going to offer in exchange for that deal? Again, who the hell knows what he is going to do when in office when the guy is deliberately so over the top and full of bluster?
He clearly is usig hyperbole a lot. The problem is that I have to idea where the hyperbole stops, and seriousness begins.

Well, it is true Bush was still kind of laid back at the time. Rejecting these guys probably would have meant rejecting dry runs earlier, and that would have raised a stink with, yes, Saudi Arabia. Even though Saudi Arabia didn’t know what was going on, they could count on the political backup, so to speak.
Whether Trump could have protected against this, I don’t know. It will be easier, however, if he and Putin manage to agree that ISIS should be stomped like cockroaches, and that at the worst, Russia will backfill for Saudi oil. Now that would be a deal from Russia with love.
