I would guess that celiac’s is a no go for the military. I have it and every time I get the tiniest amount of gluten it is like getting the flu.
Yeah, I know there’s a backlash against going gluten-free, but for those with Celiac it ain’t funny.
I can absolutely empathize.
I was told that, if ignored, the gut will destroy itself and lead to early death.
So, even though it’s aggravating, I stick very religiously to gluten-free, and my wife is my own nazi bodyguard whenever we venture to eat out at restaurants. I appreciate her for that. Also, labeling has improved vastly, so there is plenty of edible stuff for us; we just have to be vigilant.
