He only had 3 high capacity mags with all that ammo? He should have had at least 5 or 6 for each platform.

The level of First Amendment freedom exercised here at Free Republic is ‘disturbing’ to many also.

So? I fail to see the problem.
To: Noumenon
So ... What are they charging him with?
Having an unlicensed “arsenal”?

45,000 rounds is a good start.

At least his weapons were “licensed” and he stored right minded .308 ammunition...
Seriousy.

How much of what he had was illegal to own?
That’s the bottom line for me.
If none of it is illegal to own, then this guy should have a compelling case against the authorities.
Who are the real gun nuts here? The guy exercising his rights, or the ones obsessed with him.

They pretty much had to search the books for something to charge him with:
> 3rd degree criminal possession of a weapon... which sounds to me like an invented charge for the unassembled AR-10/AR-15 parts.
> 1st degree reckless endangerment, which is effectively a trumped up charge for feeling “disturbed.”

My thoughts exactly... Anyone who buys their powder a pound at a time is just throwing money away. And primers... 45,000? Is that suppose to be a lot these days? If he hasn’t got at least a few loaded drum magazines, he won’t be taking on any “small armies” that I know of. And all of his firearms were “licensed”? I don’t even know what that means. Are there places where you have to get a license plate for your gun?

He was caught with licensed guns? Apparently, he was not considered a threat to anyone. At least not before the RATs passed their SAFE law during the darkness.

How much of what he had was illegal to own? A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
How many of this Great Republic's >20,000 "gun laws" are Constitutional to enact?
That's the bottom line for me.

Note you don’t see anyone trying to amend away other amendments, say for civil rights et al.
Speech and Firearms are the enemies of the Left.
Amend at will...
