The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says 36-year-old Haissan Massalkhy of West Covina was booked Monday on suspicion of murder and jailed on $1 million bail.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau has identified the driver of the 1989 Toyota Camry as 36 year-old, Haissam Massalkhy, male Lebanese, who resides in West Covina.
The victim has been identified as Chi Shao, 59 year-old, male Asian, from Walnut.
Massalkhy was booked at Walnut Station for murder. He is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.
The case will be presented to the District Attorney's Office for filing considerations.
