George W. Bush comes to little brother’s aid in South Carolina
Star-Telegram ^ | Feb 16 2016

He’s back.

George W. Bush ended years of self-imposed political exile on Monday with a full-throated defense of his brother Jeb, who could face a last stand in Saturday’s South Carolina primary.

Never mentioning his little brother’s chief tormentor and Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump by name, the former president made it clear before a crowd of hundreds of supporters that he considers the brash real estate magnate unfit for the presidency — and his brother ready to serve.

“These are tough times and I understand Americans are angry and frustrated, but we do not need someone in the Oval Office who mirrors and inflames our frustration,” Bush said to cheers. “We need someone who can fix the causes and that’s Jeb Bush.”

Real strength, Bush insisted, isn’t a loud voice and bluster, but “integrity and character.”

Bush’s debut on the campaign trail comes as his brother, the former Florida governor who had sought to run as his “own man” has increasingly leaned on his family despite the risks.

George W. w/ Rove and company had a very rare chance to decimate the Dim party for decades and did nothing ..that’s what really opened my eyes about the Bushies ... best thing W did was Alito ...

My oh my. Over forty million dollars spent by Bush to date and he convinced maybe fifteen thousand people total in Iowa and New Hampshire to vote for him. Not much of a return on investment. Sort of the same return Bush received investing over $1 trillion dollars “nation building” Iraq and Afghanistan. These guys are simply not fiscally responsible.

Well he was smart not to call Trump out, as it would not end well for the Bush family.

“Let’s see my campaign is floundering, oh what do I do? Wait a minute, I know, I am going to get the most unpopular President in our lifetime to come campaign for me, it’s gotta work!”

Rush spent eight years - the entire two terms of Bush’s presidency - making excuses for W, and criticizing his critics, while the deficit was ballooning, government was growing, trillions were being wasted in Iraq, and the housing bubble was inflating.

Rush was a Picasso at putting lipstick on the Bush presidency. He doesn’t owe the Bush family anything more at this point, so for the sake of his tattered credibility, he really ought to stop cheerleading for Jeb Bush.

We all know Jeb is toast, but, what GWB said is very important.
Why real conservatives, real Republicans would vote for a clown with bags of “issues” is baffling!

How stupid is Jeb! This would be like if Billy Carter had sought the Democrat nomination in 1988 (7 years after Jimmy the Dhimmi left office) and Jimmy thought campaigning for him would help.

Turns out once again Trump hitting GW was brilliant. Turned a potential positive for Jeb into a big negative.

Next!

I think this may be the bridge too far for Rush, if he persists.

I’ve thought he would auger in a couple other times however and so far he as pulled up at the last minute.

The number of limited responses to this posing (eight) and the miserable turnout of rally attendess for the “Bushes) political rally in South Carolina, tell the whole story/....Jeb Bush is going nowhere, even with using and abusing his mom and his brother and diminishing the Bush name & brand!!!

The media has been telling, we, the people for days....that GW Bush & the Bush family were highly supported in the state of South Carolina. Today’s doing would prove otherwise!!! The Bushes had 800 people at their rally & Donald J. Trump had 12,000 at his noon rally and 10,000 at his evening rally today!!!

GO DONALD J. TRUMP!!!
