NOT that I wish this on anybody, but, perhaps the media narratives would be different, if Chris Mathews or Rachel Maddow or other white liberal members of the media, were subjected to such vicious beatings, such clearly racist attacks.

When a man (or woman) serves their country in a war zone, either in combat or support, they deserve better when they return home...

I wasn’t spit on when I returned from Vietnam (I wasn’t the most peaceful looking guy). But I was called names and given looks of hate and disgust.

Every time I see a serviceman or woman today, I thank them for their service and their patriotism.

I would implore that we all do this... it could brighten their day a little...

They could be at the wrong place , wrong time anywhere, anytime.

Well don’t bet on it.

There was an incident in Virginia Beach where two white reporters were set upon by a gang of blacks. Now, their injuries were not extensive (if I’m recalling this correctly) and they were not famous TV reporters, but their own newspaper barely reported the story because, you know, black on white crime just ain’t news.
