It will be a black woman. Any attempt to block it will be called racist and sexist. The Republicans will cave. They always do.

Lynch has a hot potato coming her way with the results of the FBI investigation. My guess is she’s going to end up the fall guy for Obama which will earn her instant persona non grata status.

I continue to be amazed at the ignorance of the massive amount of corruption associated with the Clintons. Lynch’s future employment within the federal government depends on how she handles the FBI investigation results and the recommendation.

The Obama administration is headed for a cliff.

The sad part, even if the GOP does not fold, it does not have a great record of appointing conservatives to the SC.

But its OK with liberals if upsetting the balance of the court tilts the balance towards the liberal side.

If obama gets to fill this vacancy the court will have 5,solid liberals. 5 out of 9, will rubber stamp every case that comes before them force feeding the liberal side of the issue on all.of us, and setting legal precedent.

Is this the time and place to make a stand, the hill to die on so to speak??? If the supreme court goes full blown liberal we are in for it .

Email / Mail / Fax your US Senators & Mitch McConnell - Tell them to Hang Tough & Don’t Let Obama Replace Justice Scalia.

Sample Letter

Dear Honorable US Senator McConnell,

Sir, you are exactly right to delay a new Supreme Court appointment until the next President. A resolution was passed by the Democrat controlled US Senate in 1960 for this purpose. The link to this article from American Thinker is pasted below.

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/02/dems_in_senate_passed_a_resolution_in1960_against_election_year_supreme_court_appointments.html

Obama cannot be trusted on anything and needs to be completely held in check by our Congress until his term is finished.

Please stand firm with the US Senate, be bold, and tell the liberals that we will follow the 1960 US Senate resolution and not allow any Supreme Court appointments in an election year - period.

Thank you sir for the job you are doing.

Sincerely and respectfully,

.....

This is the Hill to die on. And any Republican who goes along with this is going to get taken out.

20 GOP Senators voted to confirm her for Attorney General just 10 months ago... exactly how do they turn her down now?

That’s pretty funny because the department of injustice has the same copies all supplied by the FBI and NSA.

You would think so on its face, but the SCOTUS Blog assessment isn't to be ignored. I'd have to think that if he were to try this stunt, he's going 'All In' on trying to destroy the Republic before leaving office... setting up his final legacy bit with somebody who would be intent on championing his agenda for the next 20-30 years (she's 56).

Obama would also know that this is a longshot on its face, so all possible skeletons would be pulled out of all closets in an attempt to force Lynch into the chair. This could even include throwing Hillary under the bus with an indictment to show just how 'even-handed' Lynch would be on the SCOTUS bench.

Don't underestimate this. It will get very ugly here.

Politics is a funny game. I could see him doing it, just to say “When I am in, I expect the same treatment!”.

Cruz is a man who understands such considerations are a one-way street. ANYONE who would fall for this again is unworthy of any elected office.

You got that right. Actually, have Gowdy do the vetting. He is still getting new witnesses and is doing a phenomenal job.

The argument would be "there's a big difference in the roles and jobs here... never mind a lifetime appointment vs. a 20 month caretaker position."

...and they had better make that argument.
