A lot of people out there (who need to be persuaded to vote for someone) believe that Planned Parenthood does a lot of good things for women’s health — and. oh by the way, they do abortions too. That’s a common belief.
Trump is saying he’s against abortion.
Trump is saying he cares about women’s health.
That’s a strong selling point for a lot of people who share common thinking.
Now, if the facts show that Planned parenthood makes no contribution to women’s health, and only focuses on abortions ... well ... defunding them would be OK because it doesn’t violate core principles, right?
But coming out as an initial position and saying “I hate Planned Parenthood” would be heard as: “I don’t care about women’s health.” Because a lot of people don’t know the facts, and wouldn’t believe them if they heard them.
It’s politics, you know.
Anybody have any statistics on how many evangelicals have gotten abortions? What about divorces? Drunk driving? Tax evasion? Kiddie porn?
Well stated. The people going after Trump on this are the GOPe types claiming to support Cruz.
Unlike Cruz and some others, Trump is also concerned about WINNING IN NOVEMBER and he simply will not allow himself to be pigeon-holed as the far-right.
We may not like that, but that is what is needed to win, in this environment.
PP 94% ABORTIONS

Trump saying he’s for Planned Parenthood’s “good aspects” like the ‘womens health’ canard is like saying he’s wants healthcare (for all) or “people will die in the streets.
He’s pro-abortion and okay with taxpayer funding to pay for it. Both are LIEberal positions.
