If Obama appoints this replacement justice, then a majority, 5 out of 9 justices, will be very very liberal.

So much for balance on the Supreme Court.

Sometimes you have to pick a hill to die on, according to an old saying.

is this the hill the GOP wants to fight and die on, in the battle to replace Scalia?? Will they fight and vote to reject liberal nominees? will they filibuster? Will they simply put it off till after the presidential election, and then the new president gets to choose???

We’ll see...........

This is one major hill in the battle in the war— and YES the repubs should not allow any appointment to go forward— and make certain the public knows that it is up to the public in a “lame duck” presidency— to elect the next president to nominate and a Congress to approve his replacement. Keep saying this to the public— the public that feels they are LEFT out and which the democrats continue, within their own party— to demonstrate that their members have NO voice with the superdelegates already for hitlery.

This is knife edge tension for the stability of the nation.
