The latest I hear on this matter is that a)already many Democrats are asserting, including the White House, that OBama will immediately begin appointing a new Justice.
Mitch Mumbles McConnell, allegedly, said the Senate would not approve an Obama nominee.

The so-called establishment guys should be getting a discontent message from the voters and let us see if they grow a pair and hold up that supreme court nomination until after the election.

Yes, it is possible that Paul Ryan is gritting his teeth in frustration because he does not get a chance to roll over and play dead for Obama, because only the Senate gets to vote on a nomination.
Hopefully the public will become aware of the phrase "Borking" if Obama actually does nominate somebody this year. Can Mitch resist the temptation to give Obama exactly what he wants, and no more?
If they had REAL guts, they’d simply have a roll call and vote NO on every nominee Obama sends.
They would absolutely be fulfilling their Constitutional duty in doing so.
If they put off a vote, the democrats and press will attack and hound them every day.
If Lindsay Graham pops and declares the Senate has to confirm whatever 0bama sends up, the result will be a wave election for either. Trump or Cruz
