I remember reading a narrative about Arab culture in college, long before any of this (terror, Muslim immigration) ever became an issue. It stated that in the Arab mind, whenever a man and a woman were alone, (with obvious qualifiers) there was going to be sex. That was why they had in place restrictions on how women dressed and how they socialized (they evidently don’t).
