Syria's fragile peace deal descended into farce today after President Bashar al-Assad vowed to retake the entire country despite attempts by world powers to broker a ceasefire. In a rare interview published just hours after U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry announced a planned truce, Assad said he would continue to fight 'terrorism' regardless. He also warned it could take a 'long time' to defeat opposition groups, including Western-backed rebels, because so many countries were involved in the conflict. Assad said his regime's eventual goal was to retake all of Syria, large swathes of which are under the control of rebel forces or ISIS.

The Kurds are moving against rebel forces in exchange for getting their own land as a buffer state.
The Russian air war has almost stopped the flow of oil into Turkey and strangled ISIS money flows.
Russian special forces are having a field day sending Muslims to paradise.
So, why would Assad want a peace treaty?
The ones bad mouthing Assad and Putin for putting islam in its place are either left-wing trolls or folks stuck in the 1960’s KGB boogie man.
Obama’s plan to get his Muslim Brotherhood governments up and running in places like Egypt, Libya and Syria aren’t going so well. But... he’s stubborn, especially when it comes to admitting that he’s a huge failure.
