Carson is a wonderful man, and if we were voting on someone who you could bet would not lie to you, he’s the man. However, he is so low-key I don’t think he’s electable. Too bad.

You remember he said he wouldn't violate Reagan's 11th Commandment?

So Trump is allowed to call Cruz nasty, say he's a liar, and all of the other mud he slings - and Cruz is the one you call out for violating Reagan's 11th commandment?

See, this is why I have such little respect for most Trump supporters - they have absolutely no standards for their candidate, no behavior by him that they will not only overlook but will actually celebrate - and will then turn around and completely trash another candidate that does a fraction of what Trump has done. I fully expect if Trump gets the nomination, he will backtrack so quickly on the wall, it will make your head spin - and his supporters will be all over this forum saying how BRILLIANT he is to move to the center to get elected!

Alinsky would be proud of the Trumpkins - they have turned his rules into an art form!

Correction, oh, naive one - Trump never said he wouldn’t violate Regain’s 11th Commandment. That would be your wussy of a candidate, Ted Cruz.

Carson serves one purpose, to take enough support from Cruz to let the Donald win.

Hopefully pro life, pro second amendment conservatives are too smart to fall for it.

Well, I guess we really can't hold it against Cruz since Trump really isn't a Republican - he is only playing one to fool the rubes.

Thank God - the pubbies have a bad rap right now - sucks to be them. He isn’t a Democrat or Republican -he’s a populist. Labels are for class warfare. What have the Republicans done for us that the Democrats couldn’t do? Nada, zilch, zero, that’s what.

Then why doesn't Donald just go and run on his own, instead of pretending to be a conservative or a Republican?

Ok, if you'll stop pretending Trump is a conservative.

Well, that’s simple. People believe you have to belong to one of the main parties to get elected, and history has proven that. Independents don’t fare well and only serve to split the vote and elect Democrats. Run along now and take your bag of toys with you. Shoooo!

It’s hard not to wonder if, at this point, Carson is only continuing on for the purpose of limiting Cruz’ vote tallies. If so, one has to wonder if there is a bit of vindictiveness about it, which would not comport very well with his Christian persona.
*******************************************************************************
There may be some vindictiveness but, IMHO, Carson is mainly interested in being considered as a VP running mate and, secondarily, he’s interested in building up his campaign’s “war chest” for future use. Future use could include paying for a lot of his future expense.

Cruz “character”:
1. Phony summonses mailed out, scaring people to vote.
2. Claiming Carson quit, “vote for me”
3. Campaigning in the 800 churches, showing video “vote for me” with his preacher/father stomping for him.
4. “Brilliant” lawyer, did not know he was Canadian citizen and that he is not Natural Born Citizen, not eligible for office of P or VP.

Just enough to beat Trump in IA, apologize and repeat?

Trump could have run as either a Democrat or Republican and nobody would have been surprised one way or the other. Hillary even said that she and Trump shared many of the same positions before this run for President.

After 8 years of Obama he knew that any Democrat was fighting an uphill battle. So he ran as a “Republican” thinking it was the best opportunity to get what he wanted.

Now you go run along and continue pretending you’re voting for a conservative. In some ways I hope you “win” so you can see what a fool you’ve been. The price is pretty damn high though.

Honestly, I think Carson’s character has been vastly over rated. When someone is dishonest enough to lease a campaign bus to drive around through primary states empty, when he is not within 500 miles of the bus, it tells you he is milking his supporters for money. He is not a serious candidate.
