Bernie Sanders promises voters a "political revolution" that will fundamentally remake the American economy and its education and health care systems. [...]
Often left unsaid by Sanders, but increasingly at the center of Hillary Clinton's arguments against her rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, is that the political reality of achieving such goals is likely to be a whole lot more complicated.
It would require Sanders not only to win the White House, but to sweep a wave of Democratic lawmakers into office along with him. While Democrats may be able to gain the four or five seats necessary to win back control of the Senate in November, they need 30 seats to recapture power in the House.
But even with majorities in both houses of Congress, Sanders would face challenges. Clinton's advisers often point out how difficult it was for President Barack Obama to convince a Democratic-led Congress to support the Affordable Care Act in 2010. Sanders' plan -- called "Medicare for All" -- would go significantly further by establishing a national health care system run entirely by the government. ...

Does not matter. Bern would start delivering a series of fireside chats about how those EEEEEEEVIL Republicans were stopping him from giving free tuition/forgiving those loans/raising SS payments/providing free healthcare. The midterm would be like barbarians storming the gates of Rome.
The Democrats aren’t going to take back the Senate, and with the way things are going I wouldn’t be surprised to see the GOP pick up seats in both the House and Senate.
I think its sbaping up to be a bloodbath for the Democrats in November, no matter how the AP tries to spin it.
. . . if the RINOs actually do stop him, that is. The current crop are more concerned about “show(ing) the American people that (they) can govern”, after all
No problem.
All Sanders Claus has to do is issue executive orders.
Mission accomplished.
More like “they can reach across the aisle” and “work together to end gridlock”, etc..
Horse s**t.
When you consider how Obama has made unilateral changes to Obamacare, what stands in the Bern’s way?
Not the GOP Congress.
And likewise assuming the democrats regain the Senate, it will be difficult for a GOP President to deliver on many campaign promises, if the democrats dig in.
It appears gone are days of political compromise.
So if it is President Sanders, Clinton, Trump or Cruz plan on more “Executive Order” styles of governing.
“Political compromise” got us where we are today.
Liberal elites will pick the candidate they want using their superdelegates. The whole 'election thing' is a sham - a trick to fool 'the little people' into thinking their vote counts... It doesn't.
Here's the good news Bernie: - liberal elites will allow enough superdelegates to go for YOU Bernie so it doesn't look rigged. Of course IT IS RIGGED, but this will pacify your voters enough so Hillary can pick them up and play them for fools all over again.
“Stroke of the pen, law of the land”.
It also doesn’t matter because the Left doesn’t live in “reality”.
you asked for revolution, Bernie, careful what you ask for, you might not like it. I fully plan on enjoying it.
A bloodbath? I doubt it. I can’t imagine voting for our local Republican office-holders again. It would be more worthwhile to sit home and watch the leaves fall.

Actually that’s true.
The Dems spent so much time on Obamacare in congress, they failed to pass a LOT of legislation that liberals wanted in the 2 years they held the House and Senate.
Card check for unionization in place of secret ballot is one big example.
I think you're right.
how difficult it was for President Barack Obama to convince a Democratic-led Congress to support the Affordable Care Act in 2010.
Thank god there were turncoat republicans...oh, wait,
there weren’t any. Dims own this one but they would
just as soon you forgot.
