read M. Stanton Evans & Diana West on FDR's conduct of the war, specifically, his subservience to Stalin.

Considering that Russia lost over 20 million people to our 500,000, FDR gets a far better review than Stalin, IMHO.

I'll even give him credit for picking Harry Truman for VP, as he would demonstrate great courage in approving the use of atomic bombs.

when the Soviet aparatchick from Tass made that point on Nightline about 35 years ago, William F. Buckley, Jr., came back with, “That’s 20 million Stalin didn’t have to kill.” He killed many more, 3-5 million in the Ukraine alone.
