Why stop there? Find out the religion of the gang-bangers and thugs and kick those religions out too. They kill more people in the US than Muslims. We need to get serious.

Oops, maybe that won't work so well.
The Muslims are their own gang.
The others will have to be handled on a gang by gang basis, but no one who will shoot randomly into a crowd to get at one person is likely to practice much of a religion except fealty to the gang.

I’ve never seen any indication that gangbangers and thugs have anywhere near the sort of religious conformity that is found among the muslims.
