Cruz fans are like Anti-Disciples. Exposure to one turns people off to Cruz.

Does the author care to post about the settlement Trump got from Univision this week from the network to make his suit against them end?

Decisions of courts are often sealed and not published.

However I am not an attorney so I am going just by what the link says.

And, the Univision case is just a few months old. Univision folded quickly.

He used the charm we are used to also.
Donald dismissed this as naysaying.

“You can go ahead and speak to guys who have four-hundred-pound wives at home who are jealous of me, but the guys who really know me know I’m a great builder,” he told me.

Its very difficult to prove libel.

Especially for a public figure like Trump.

I understand exactly where Trump comes from. “NEW YORK”

I grew up in Western Massachusetts.

I think I'll still give Massachusetts the nod for one of the worst states out there.

Funny how Free Republic is 75% Trump supporters, but a sizable amount of post are from whiney, snarky, self righteous, Cruzboys. You guys act like hysterical women.

What is the value of any property on any given day? Well, it's what a ready willing and able buyer is willing to pay on any given day.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Trump. I always thought the value of real estate was whatever the local assessor said it was. Now that being said there are times when a property owner wants their property to be undervalued, like when the tax value is assessed and then again they may want it overvalued if they are borrowing against it.

Okay, I'll try and keep this short.

The local assessed value for a property should NOT be the market value specifically on residential real estate.

Local governments first decide what the monetary needs are for the year and will assess properties to meet their goals. It's very backwards and incorporates millage rates to tweak the taxes to get what the government needs.

In my area, assessed values are not far off actual market value as they only adjust once a year versus actual markets which can change month over month.

As far as appraised value on residential, appraisers have three ways to assign value: market value, replacement value and income.

Commercial real estate is completely another animal as more factors have to come into play like the physical value of the assets, depreciation, obsolescence as well as the income the property takes in.

Every Candidate who has run for any office does this 3 ways :

(1) raise money while running, using those funds only.
(2) spend their music oney while running , using those funds only.
(3) spend a hybrid of money raised and their own money.

In scenario 2 and 3, the candidates take money out of their own pockets. In these cases, after it is said and done, they will hold fundraisers and events to recoup those expenditures. It happens and it is natural to try and do so.

Running for POTUS, will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 300M +.

Candidates, win or lose , will hold fund raisers, dinners, give speeches, etc. to pay this off. That is fine, but as you rightly criticize those who get donations on the front end, keep an eye on those who pay on the back end
critizes them as well, if warranted.

What’s the point of this? That you should vote for Bernie Sanders? This sounds like a Bernie Sanders ad.

That has been all others thus far. None had or has the personal funds that Trump has while running. Trump also stated he was using his money plus small contributions. I gave like 50. I usually give more.

Don’t take offense, your 50 will go to this, also. Just realized that Trump is “pre funding” rather than “self funding”.
It is legal and a common practice.
Trump said he will use donations in the general election, but is using his own money in the primaries.
If he does not get enough in donations to cover both, he will fundraise to get it back. Count on it.
It is okay.
Just keep an eye on who helps him pay it off.
Could be fine, could be weird.
We will see.
Nobody should buy into the notion that ANY candidate will run on their own money and walk away, saying “oh well”.
Not saying it is wrong or nefarious, just “trust but verify”.

Decisions of appellate courts are never sealed. In fact, the NJ Supreme Court in this case specifically said to publish it. And, by the way, if it was sealed, how come it was so easy to find on the INTERNET.

Do you believe everything you read or hear; but I suppose that depends on if you are a Trump supporter.

I’m not a Trump supporter, but based on what little I know about his law suit against Univision, I hope Trump got a bundle.
