Thank You, Jesus!!!!!!! This is a wonderful story!!!

Also from the article...

"His boss confirmed his work ethic: His attendance has never faltered, not one day," plant manager Todd Wilson said recently. "That money, none of it changed him one bit. James is still one of the most loving, caring people I know." What an inspirational story! Hard work is important. Life is tough, but we have it better in America than many other people. Instead of counting on welfare, we need to get out there and do our best, everyday!"

So the “shocking” announcement is that he’s not changing anything?

Well, I guess to the Gibsmedat and Millennial/Participation Trophy populations, having a work ethic would be pretty shocking.

“His boss confirmed his work ethic:

Really enjoyed a recent interview with T Boone Pickens - he said work ethic was THE most important skill a person has, you can have talent, brains, an education, what are they worth if you don’t do anything?

Actually he is taking a productive job from a younger person who may need that a job. Sorry that is the way I see it.

I was thinking it was going to be about how he blew it all on cocaine and hookers.

The work ethic is what built the country. Nice to see someone still has it - especially when their *demographics* would suggest otherwise.

James Robertson - at age 57

Why are they even mentioning retirement at age 57? I'm a lot older than that and I still work full time. No one I knew ever contemplated retiring at age 57.

That’s pretty rare.

EVERYDAY

Even on my phone, I am asked to check the box if I want the alarm to ring "Everyday."

Children should be kept out of government school. Everyday.

Reminds me of this old pearl of wisdom.

“Character is what a man does when nobody is watching.”

James appears to be a man of character.

:: his still-shiny 2015 Ford Taurus, a car he chose because, as he famously said, “It’s like me — simple on the outside, durable on the inside.” ::

Sounds like it was purchased from the Ed Pinkly dealer...

Good story. Somehow I suspected for the shoe to fall where the public finds out again that he and the media had scammed us.

It’s good example for everyone to see a hard working member of the public be recognized for conscientious hard work. Too much of our society is built around a media hyped NFL, NBA, Hollywood, and Wall Street....where the success stories are rarely good examples of decent behavior.

Its a nice story about a decent man.

I was always curious - how much did he make as a machinist? Its certainly not minimum wage. Why could he not have bought a car on that wage?

Thanks to donations, his more than 5 hour-long commute has been reduced to a 12 minute drive.

From a 5-hour walk to a 12-minute commute? Either he was walking slow, or he's a fast driver.

Why didn't he ever buy a bicycle?
