Sounds like once he opened the door, he was done for. Since nothing was hidden, warrant wasn’t needed.
My question is this: Is a home-grown bullet-making operation illegal? That’s what it sounds like he had to me.

If a police officer so much as knocks on my door to ask if I have seen a lost puppy, I will step outside to chat.
Assuming that I answer the door, of course.
The days of Officer Friendly are over. I view police with a squinted eye wondering how they are conniving to extract money out of my wallet.
