Well it sounds to me like you should vote for another candidate if you have no faith in Trump. I feel that way about Cruz. No faith in the guy whatsoever.

I know. I’ve read your previous posts. I just find it odd that Trump supporters will give Trump a pass on all of his past liberal positions, many of which he still supports (i.e. subsidies, Kelo, gay marriage, etc), but Trump supporters refuse to extend that same pass privilege to any other candidate.

I won’t vote for anyone based on my faith in them because too many times that faith is betrayed. Faith in a candidate is strictly emotionally based and is not objective nor logical. I would prefer to vote based on records, histories, agendas, known tendencies, political affiliations, etc. because those are all fact based. In the fact based category, Trump is severely lacking so I won’t support him. I will vote for Cruz.

The problem is that even if Trump wins the nomination, he won’t be able to win the general election unless he convinces true conservatives that he is no longer a liberal (i.e. McCain & Romney). Unfortunately, much of what he still does and says proves otherwise (like supporting subsidies in Iowa). We need a conservative to save this country; not a left leaning populist. We already got that with Obama.

An example of what I mean...

You say Trump is now pro-gun, based solely on your faith in him and what he says. You have no proof of his new pro-gun stance, but you believe he has changed. Trump could very well start changing his tune again after he is elected, but you hope he won’t. There really is no way to know though.

I can prove to you that Trump has/does support anti-gun agendas, organizations, politicians...even recently. The proof is irrefutable, but you will take your unsubstantiated faith in Trump over the facts. You will vote for Trump even though it may be against your own best interests and your love of guns.

I just find that extremely ironic.
