In a statement issued mid-debate, CNN proclaimed:
What Senator Cruz said tonight in the debate is categorically false. CNN never corrected its reporting because CNN never had anything to correct. The Cruz campaign’s actions the night of the Iowa caucuses had nothing to do with CNN’s reporting. The fact that Senator Cruz continues to knowingly mislead the voters about this is astonishing.
Because CNN is pulling a Candy Crowley on this issue. They hate Cruz so they lie.
This was a hail-mary trap set by Car$on, and he forced it to work. If nobody had taken the bait we’d never have heard of him after Iowa.
Nice Post: MUST READING for the Trumpateers and Trumpettes.
I'm going to toss the video and believe their lies?
The same people who, on a 5 minute rule (5 min. R, 5 min D, alternating) during the Waco Congressional Hearings Blocked Republican questions and testimony with commercial breaks? (Yeah, they did. After a half hour, I tuned it in on C-SPAN (because of the tedious commercial breaks) and heard what the other half had to say--and realized what CNN was doing).
I wouldn't trust CNN to tell me rain is wet.
Cruz not really a frontrunner
MUST READING for any Rubio converts, too, considering the writer says the Rubio camp was sending out the same messages, and then attacked Cruz for it.
One of the chief ways to demoralize people is to tell them their candidate is hopelessly behind, so vote for _______.
It's an old gambit, one we have seen here before.
Select the correct sample population and you can get a poll to say whatever you want.
But as it stands, Cruz has the most delegates. For now, at least, that makes him the guy in 1st place. That's a frontrunner.
Rubio got any Carson voters who changed at the last minute.
I hope the fine folks in Neew Hampshire do what it is right. Records over rhetoric and popularity. Articulate ideas that have been forged in the town hall meetings based upon real issues, and not just hot button topics. Plans with a strategy and long term puropose are essential.
I agree. I would love to get away from the pep-rally ‘reality teevee’ mentality and see this campaign go on issues and solutions.
Thanks for posting!!
Great clear, concise, analytical article!
Gore Won...You Bush folks need not bother going to vote.
Behind in polls- questionable vote getting tactics- extraordinarily long effort in Iowa returning slim and shady victory- not really a frontrunner
Maybe you'd feel more at home at DU.
Has anyone actually spoken to any voters who claim that they walked into the booth intending to vote for Carson but voted for either Cruz or Rubio instead? I have yet to see any video of that.
I was going to answer him, but giving attention to that sort of nonsense is what s/he wanted.
DU? That’s the worn out weak default ad hominem response to criticism of a candidate
I have seen cognitive disconnects before, but that was a textbook case.
You repeated a lie that is put to rest in the very article you were commenting on.
You maintained that Cruz in not a frontrunner because he narrowly beat the other frontrunner, which puts him in front of that frontrunner, which makes him the LEADER, not just another 'frontrunner'.
Your ability to completely ignore the patently obvious is concordant with the level of discourse at DU, and I merely suggested that you might feel more at home there.
