I wonder how Trump or another would go about running a third-party candidacy, or run as an independent. It would take some major organizational skills and putting them into action quickly. I think Trump could handle it, ‘cause what he’s done every day of his life has been multi-faceted. Not sure about any other candidate.
Maybe this is what the RNC had up its sleeve at the first debate when they had all candidates raise their hands vowing to run as GOP.

I think Trump would not be able to get on the ballot in some states, due to their “sore loser” laws.
But with all the free media attention he’d get, he might carry a few states and get just enough electoral votes to deny a majority to either the Dhim or Pub nominee.
Then the election would be thrown into the House of Reps, where each state would have only one vote, and where the ‘Pubs probably would have a majority of state delegations. Would those delegations then rally to Trump? Or would they even wanna make a “deal” with him? I gotta doubt it.
