Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton on Sunday said there is a "double standard" that frowns upon women giving impassioned speeches.
"Look, we are still living with a double standard," Clinton said on CNN's "State of the Union." "I know it. Every woman I know knows it."
"You know, sometimes I talk soft, sometimes I get passionate, and I get a little bit excited. I don't know any man who doesn't do the same thing, and I find it kind of interesting that this is a big discussion about me once again."
Clinton, who has openly campaigned on the historic nature of her candidacy, said she will keep fighting through the "slings and arrows" that come with being a woman in the public arena.
"Whether you're in the media as a woman or in the professions or business or politics - and I don't know anything other to do than just keep forging through it, and just taking the slings and arrows that come with being a woman in the arena," she said.
"I'm so used to this," she added. "I'm going to keep making my case. I'm going to keep talking about what I will do as president. I'm going to keep laying out my record, because I think it's really important that this election be actually about who can do the job that needs to be done starting in January of 2017."
I think she means screeching.

Imagine two Hillary’s in one’s life. That double would indeed be something to bemoan.
Are you still a woman after the hormones that shaped and made you stop working?
Or just a shell like the ones scavanged on beaches by hermit crabs?
Bruce Jenner, now Cait, took female hormones and now is a woman.

True enough, to screams of distress, but not all such sounds. With some of the harridans and harpies out there, fools rush in where Angels fear to tread. Feminism hammered Chivalry and now the same who hid behind the former try to invoke the latter.

Plenty of women shout with authority. It’s the personality that compels the response.
The simple truth is that universally, hitlery is seen and recognized as the witch that she is.
Why does “husband” Billy leave the paddock all the time? (A): her Muslim Bros girlfriend is with her all the time, (b): she tells and screams at him, (C): she throws furniture at him, (d): she humiliates him in public. (E): all of the above ?
That’s dumb.. Dean lost a primary because of shouting. I look at it more like singing. Pick songs that fit your voice range. It’s the ones hearing who will evaluate. It’s your right to sing whatever you want. That doesn’t mean it will come out well in public.

Women do have the double standard...they have favored status in everything now...pink ribbons galore...Ever seen a ribbon for prostate cancer?
Pay is now equal if not more so for women now. Ever seen the calculation of how many men die on the job vs women? Nope. You won’t, either because it tells an opposite story.
Dear Hillary,
As a fellow woman who has done a lot of public speaking, there is a difference between the impassioned voice and shouting/screaming. The impassioned voice resonates out from the deepest part of the gut, shouting comes from the top of the throat and lungs. You shout and no one likes to be shouted at either by a man or woman.
You need to find your inner voice, your truly impassioned voice, or you will continue to come off fake, hokey, and desperate.
As far as there being a double standard, I don’t think so. Remember it was the Dean scream that literally killed his campaign. He embarrassed himself with his own impassioned excitement.
These days I spend working with dogs a lot. Owners often shout commands at their dogs trying to get them to sit, come, or quiet, or leave it...they are often amazed to see a 5ft. woman take command of their dog with a whisper of words.

It’s not that there is a double standard against what she is calling ‘impassioned speech’. It’s that few believe her passion, and thus it comes across as shrill phoniness, with perhaps some anger thrown in because she’s perturbed that she has to compete for what she feels is ‘rightfully’ hers.
Plays both ways...I remember the “double standard” she took advantage of when she ran for the senate in 2000. Her opponent, Rick Lazio, was seen as too aggressive and mean towards her during debates.
Rabid phony feminist Hillary actually pays her female staffers less than the males.

I think a majority of Americans are unwilling to suffer having to listen to this nails-on-a-chalkboard harridan’s speeches being played over and over again by the adoring MSM for the next 4 years.
Her shouting and screaming are not just for her public speeches. She does it to underlings regularly.
