When this case first arose, I was apoplectic that they would release a KNOWN illegal alien arrested for possession of 15 KILOGRAMS of COKE back into the public.

This POS had already been arrested by ICE two years earlier and released.

Instead an OBAMA appointed judge released him on a SIGNATURE bond, with NO ELECTRICAL monitoring.

Amazing that he would flee to Mexico rather than stay here and spend 15 years or so in a Federal prison.

If anyone wants to know why our country is going to hell in a hand basket under Obama, you need look no further than this case. If this POS was a US citizen, no way they would have let him out on a SIGNATURE bond, and they probably would have made him wear electronic monitoring until his trial.

Disgusting!

William E. Duffin is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. He was appointed to the position on March 28, 2014

Yes, who? /s

There is utter confusion in leadership positions these days, and I can only blame those who are making the political not merit based appointments.
