Today, Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson (pictured) defended her indictment of pro-life advocate David Daleiden despite the fact that a Planned Parenthood abortion business board members works as a prosecutor in her office. Now, new information has come to light that Andersonâs campaign received more than $25,000 from the attorney who works for a late-term abortionist.
As LifeNews reported Monday, a Texas grand jury has ignored the videos exposing a Houston-based Planned Parenthood abortion clinic caught selling aborted baby body parts and has instead indicted the man behind producing the exposeâ videos.
The Texas grand jury indicted David Daleiden and another pro-life activist, Sandra Merritt, behind the videos. Instead of prosecuting Planned Parenthood for selling aborted baby parts, Daleiden was indicted for buying them.
Daleiden and Merritt were charged with one felony related to tampering with a governmental record and a misdemeanor count related to buying human tissue. The felony charge was in reference to the use of a fake ID. If convicted, Daleiden faces 20 years in prison while Planned Parenthood officials face no legal consequences for their actions.
Since the indictment, Anderson is facing criticism over her failure to prosecute an abortionist known as the Kermit Gosnell of Houston.
Anderson oversaw a previous abortion-related grand jury investigation of Houston abortionist Douglas Karpen after Operation Rescue released evidence in the form of photos and witness testimony that babies were being born alive during abortions and intentionally killed by twisting their necks. This case garnered publicity in the wake of the conviction of Pennsylvania abortionist Kermit Gosnell on three counts of First Degree Murder for intentionally killing babies born alive during abortions in a similar fashion.
That Anderson-led grand jury failed to indict Karpen despite the considerable evidence against him.
Karpen was represented at his trial by attorney Chip Lewis, who donated more than $25,000 to Andersonâs re-election campaign.
According to official campaign finance records from Harris County, Lewis donated a total of $15,000 to Andersonâs re-election campaign in 2014, with a $10,000 donation from Lewis to Anderson in February and another $5,000 from Lewis to Anderson in May. The abortion practitionerâs attorney made additional contributions to Andersonâs campaign later int he year â with Lewis sending another $1,000 on September 17 and $9,100 on September 25â as these Harris County campaign finance records show.
As to the Karpen case and Andersonâs lack of an indictment, the pro-life group said that grand jury failed to return a âtrue billâ that would have led to Karpenâs prosecution. Operation Rescue has reason to believe that the grand jury did not have access to all the evidence, and that Andersonâs close personal relationship with Karpenâs attorneymay have contributed to the failure of the grand jury to indict Karpen.
âWhere thereâs smoke, thereâs fire, and thereâs just too way much smoke blowing Planned Parenthoodâs way in Harris County for us to feel remotely comfortable that Andersonâs office can conduct a fair and impartial investigation,âthe group said at the time.
Now that Andersonâs office has indicted the pro-life investigators, Cheryl Sullenger, Senior Vice President of Operation Rescue is renewing the criticism.
âThere is now a pattern in Houston of District Attorney Devon Andersonâs office covering up abortion-related crimes,â she told LifeNews.
âIn 2013, another Anderson-controlled grand jury failed to indict Houston abortionist Douglas Karpen, who was accused by three of his former employees of murdering babies born alive during shoddy late-term abortions by twisting their heads or slashing their throats. Photographic evidence provided to me showed injuries to large aborted babies that was consistent with those claims. Operation Rescue has good reason to believe that evidence was never presented to that grand jury,â Sullenger explained.a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.â She also laughed while looking at a plate of fetal kidneys that were âgood to go.â
Anderson has come under considerably fire for what pro-life advocates call a politically motivated indictment and because a Planned Parenthood board member works for Anderson as an assistant district attorney. Lauren Reeder is a prosecutor in the Harris County District Attorneyâs criminal family law division. Reeder is listed as a non-compensated âDirectorâ on the 990 Tax Form for 2014 filed by Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast.
Although Anderson indicates Reeder had no role in the Daleiden indictment, thereâs really no way of knowing if that is truly the case. Because of that, pro-life advocates have called for the appointment of a special prosecutor to look into the indictment and the fact that the grand jury never voted on charges related to Planned Parethoodâs sale of aborted babies.
The exposeâ videos catching Planned Parenthood officials selling the body parts of aborted babies have shocked the nation. Here is a list of all eleven:
In the first video: Dr. Deborah Nucatola of Planned Parenthood commented on baby-crushing: âWeâve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so Iâm not gonna crush that part, Iâm gonna basically crush below, Iâm gonna crush above, and Iâm gonna see if I can get it all intact.â In the second video: Planned Parenthoodâs Dr. Mary Gatter joked, âI want a Lamborghiniâ as she negotiated the best price for baby parts. In the third video: Holly OâDonnell, a former Stem Express employee who worked inside a Planned Parenthood clinic, detailed first-hand the unspeakable atrocities and how she fainted in horror over handling baby legs. In the fourth video: Planned Parenthoodâs Dr. Savita Ginde stated, âWe donât want to do just a flat-fee (per baby) of like, $200. A per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.â She also laughed while looking at a plate of fetal kidneys that were âgood to go.â In the fifth video: Melissa Farrell of Planned Parenthood-Gulf Coast in Houston boasted of Planned Parenthoodâs skill in obtaining âintact fetal cadaversâ and how her âresearchâ department âcontributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here, you know weâre one of the largest affiliates, our Research Department is the largest in the United States.â In the sixth video: Holly OâDonnell described technicians taking fetal parts without patient consent: âThere were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers donât know. And thereâs no way they would know.â In the seventh and perhaps most disturbing video: Holly OâDonnell described the harvesting, or âprocurement,â of organs from a nearly intact late-term fetus aborted at Planned Parenthood Mar Monteâs Alameda clinic in San Jose, CA. ââYou want to see something kind of cool,ââ OâDonnell says her supervisor asked her. âAnd she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And Iâm sitting here and Iâm looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I donât know what to think.â In the eighth video: StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer admits Planned Parenthood sells âa lot ofâ fully intact aborted babies. The ninth video: catches a Planned Parenthood medical director discussing how the abortion company sells fully intact aborted babies â including one who âjust fell outâ of the womb. The 10th video: catches the nationâs biggest abortion business selling specific body parts â including the heart, eyes and âgonadsâ of unborn babies. The video also shows the shocking ways in which Planned Parenthood officials admit that they are breaking federal law by selling aborted baby body parts for profit. Unreleased Videos: Unreleased videos from CMP show Deb Vanderhei of Planned Parenthood caught on tape talking about how Planned Parenthood abortion business affiliates may âwant to increase revenue [from selling baby parts] but we canât stop themâ¦â Another video has a woman talking about the âfinancial incentivesâ of selling aborted baby body parts. The 11th video: catches a texas Planned Parenthood abortionist planning to sell the intact heads of aborted babies for research. Amna Dermish is caught on tape describing an illegal partial-birth abortion procedure to terminate living, late-term unborn babies which she hopes will yield intact fetal heads for brain harvesting.
SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must Investigate Planned Parenthood for Selling Aborted Baby Parts
The full, unedited videos have confirmed that revelations that some aborted baby remains sold by Planned Parenthood go to biotech companies for the purpose of creating âhumanizedâ mice. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood has been exposed as having sold body parts from aborted babies for as much as 15 years.
The federal law that technically prohibits the sale of aborted babies and their body parts was written by a pro-abortion Congressman decades ago and essentially spells out a process by which sellers of aborted baby body parts can meet certain criteria that allows the sales to be legal. Thatâs why a Colorado congressman has introduced legislation to totally ban the sales of aborted baby body parts.
political prosecution. The return of soviet show trials
This reminds me of the political persecution in WIS last election cycle.
And yet, all the Texas Freepers keep telling us Californians, that Texas is the land of milk and honey! Why freedom is just flowin’ from that ole fountain o’ justice you people have down deah! From where I sit, the “Texas Just Us System” has monumental corruption imbedded in it! Can you say Ronnie Earle or the bitch judge that was suing the governor because she was arrested for DWI? Or how about the multiple times Whacko has had murder under color of authority and tries to sweep it under the rug? Paraphrasing the Burt Reynolds movie “Texas has a Whorehouse in it, and it’s their just us system!” No thanks, California doesn’t have that kind of problem, and the weather is a whole lot better. Now, all you $hit kickers, line up and start blasting away! I mean that’s what you do isn’t it?
Sounds like Texas needs an Attorney General to begin a bribery investigation.
You don’t say.
It’s to send a message, and not subtly.
If more people would rise up like the pro-lifers do, there would be more pressure on them.
They do it because they can.
Don’tcha know, whistleblowers go to jail. A sign of the times.
Harris County Liberals trying to pour perfume over the shit going on? Looks like the residents of Harris County need to fumigate some of the Liberal feces out of public office there, ya think? What an embarrassment for the state of Texas!
