I should have said the GOPE incoming will be behind and effort to get Cruz out, and throw everything in, in order to make a two man race for Rubio against my guy, TRUMP.
On the “scorched earth” term, as related to Cruz, has hurt him and will be reflected in the polls, because not everyone thinks dirty tricks are fine, including some Evangelicals.
Between messing up his own reputation all by himself, and the GOPE/Rubio/TRUMP assault is unleashed against Cruz, I think Rubio can rise to second and threaten TRUMP in a two man race.

Cruz hasn’t committed “scorched earth” as much as Trump, IMO. They should both cut it out as that may allow Rubio to advance. Evangelicals do not, you are correct. 1) Evangelicals aren’t stupid either, and seeing as the Carson dustup isn’t malicious they won’t abandon Cruz (if it were that WOULD be a different story).
No, Cruz will surge to a degree after Iowa.
