Donald Trump may still be leading most polls for the Republican presidential nomination, but after Monday night's Iowa caucuses, one longtime conservative activist believes the real-estate mogul's days as a frontrunner are numbered.
"He underperformed and I think his balloon has been punctured," said Richard Viguerie, chairman of ConservativeHQ.com and a direct mail fundraising pioneer. "The only person who has gone after Trump and has won is Cruz, and now I think others are going to be emboldened to do that."

Cruz’s main challenge is to convince conservatives he is a viable general election candidate.
He’s talented, has a razor-sharp mind and he has shown he can win.
And unlike Trump, his negatives are well under 40%.
It re inflates next week, while cruz’s pops.

Perhaps but Cruz's supporters negatives on FR are over 90%. It would serve Cruz well if they would work on that.
But he has revealed himself

How so? (not a rhetorical question). I was told the same thing by someone who is non-political, neither conservative nor liberal and very much dislikes Clinton.
