Is it not Trump’s responsibility to repay his companies’ loans? Excuses for reneging is not convincing to me. Esp. since Trump has the gall to attack the relative pauper Cruz for HIS loans, which have been or will be repaid in full.

Only a complete ignoramus would think this means anything.

Most any large business that could been named has loans from banks, and payables to all sorts of suppliers. Business operate and grow by utilizing reasonable amounts of debt.

Those debts were used to finance Trump properties. Some folks really enjoy public displays of ignorance.

Hey, anybody out there got a home mortgage or a car loan?

Not really. I own a business, an S Corp. I have to personally guarantee any loan, credit card application, checking account, or any other transaction with a bank.

If he is an officer of the company then he has personal responsibility.

Possibly, but there is NOT a difference when the person in question owns funds or stock in those same banks.

“Eight of the Republican presidential hopefuls, Trump, Cruz, Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Carly Fiorina, Chris Christie, and Jim Gilmore said in financial disclosures that were largely filed between June and August last year that they had owned Goldman funds or Goldman stock, and in some cases both. The disclosures mostly cover the period from the beginning of 2014 to the middle of last year.”

Most, if not all, investment real estate loans have call provisions. A standard reason for is to “significantly change the operation of the investment entity”.

Trump handing the business over to his kids would easily qualify as reasonable justification for a call. Then, it’s down to the banks on if they execute the call.

Trump is so highly leveraged, a small number of calls would tap out the liquid assets. Unless, of course, Trump “makes a deal” with the banks to alieviate their concerns.

Wow, little Leon earned his keep today, writing one screwy screed after another. And the sheep cheer.

What a sad lot we’ve become, allowing the tried and true plans of the GOPe to herd the clueless.
