He will not get elected without their support. And he needs them to win their election so he can get his agenda passed. This is dumb politically. He could have done ever bit as much good without some of his grand standing that did nothing.
So you have to join the GOPe to beat the GOPe. Interesting logic as voters are turning from anyone with even remote GOPe ties.
