I watched the video. I am of the opinion that the officer is clearly the aggressor and should be charged. Since that no longer seems possible, the victim should bring a federal lawsuit against the officer and the city.

Agreed. However, there is no audio so we don't know what was said by the kid. Even if it was inflammatory, don't cops go through training that teaches them to ignore such things? They used to.

You or I would have gone to jail for what that cop did. This is precisely the kind of thing that allow the anti-cop movements to take hold and the judge denying reality, and justice, will only make things worse.

WOW, I am a vocal supporter of police but this video is shocking to see how this officer completely lost it. Can’t believe no charges will be filed.

Absolutely appalling. Watch the video. The security guy flat-out shoves the kid on the ground with no provocation, then punches him. If you did this to a cop, you’d get shot. And if you didn’t get shot, you’d serve time.

There is a different set of rules for the police.
Remember this when you get called for jury duty.

Unprovoked aggravated battery:

The boy was standing perfectly upright, no low center of gravity, both hands buried in his pockets. His body language was non-confrontational and was VIOLENTLY shoved to the ground and punched in the face.

If you voice ANY reservations about this type of cop behavior, seemingly EVERY cop on FR will spare themselves the chore of thinking about this even for ONE SECOND, and will lambaste you as a cop hater.

They’ll say it’s just like the lies after Trayvon and that other fatter idiot:

“You’re lying about the cops and we NEVER do wrong...”

But in fact in garb, tattoos, music and speech mannerisms more and more the cops resemble the men they arrest.

“Early, sudden use of force is COOL”

For those of you outside of the Pittsburgh area, this sort of behavior was taking place at a HIGH SCHOOL football game.

Like the old chestnut says, we’re a drinking town with a football problem.
