” Heck, we will even throw some delegates to O’Malley, even though he’s pulled out.”

That is why he deserves those delegates more

They were simply “redistributing” the delegates more fairly, taking from those who were “rich” in delegates, to subsidize the “poor”

The entire Iowa caucus, both Democrat & Republican looked like an amature night farce!!! IMHO, Iowa should scrap the whole mess and go back to a simple primary vote process!!! This clown show is antiquated, outdated and open to massive mistakes in counting!!! And.......the main problem is they keep having wrong calls and voter outcome, over and over again. I believ ethat Bernie Sanders beat Hillary Clinton and that a physical vote count would show that is true!!! Howver, the good news is that Clinton could do no better the a tie!!! Sanders...in the eyes of th American people, holds the victory flag. Iowa......get with the program, dump your outdated little political game!!!

I listen to the Jazz from Copenhagen every day as they have news on the hour and I’m trying to refresh my Danish learned fifty years ago. Today I had a fantastic laugh all to myself as the newscasters all day have been referring to Hillery as “ukronede dronning” or Uncrowned Queen.

To my unpracticed ear, “ukronede droning” could be a description of Hillary’s speeches.

Not sure I can find the translation for “screeching cankles”.

I’m confused about the coin-flips.

Were there only six ‘ties’ that they flipped coins on, and Clinton won all of them? Or did she win six, while there were others that she didn’t win?

Also: is this (coin flipping) something that only the Dems do in Iowa, or do the Republicans do it, too, if a caucus location is tied?

Jeff Weaver is a Democratic political advisor. He was Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (D-Vt.) chief of staff and former congressional campaign manager. In May 2015, Weaver was appointed campaign manager for Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign... he began working, as a volunteer, for Bernie Sanders’ gubernatorial campaign in 1986... worked for Sanders as a legislative assistant while Sanders was in the U.S. House. Weaver was campaign manager for Sanders’ 2006 Senate campaign and, subsequently, became his chief of staff. In 2010, Weaver left Sanders’ office and started a comic book store in Falls Church, Virginia, called Victory Comics.

Did ‘real people; not actors’ vote?

Or just ‘caucus’ members?

I’m a bit confused of just WHAT actually happened in Iowa.

I don’t have a dog in this fight (aka “popcorn time”) but I think Sanders won Iowa, even though we weren’t told the raw vote totals. Here are two reasons I think so...

[1] The delegate count should roughly match the raw vote — except for the fact that Clinton won those 6 coin tosses to resolve ties. So let’s correct for the 6 coin tosses:

Clinton got 23 delegates, and Sanders got 21. To fairly represent the actual caucusgoers’ votes, each of them would have gotten 3 of those 6 delegates, instead of all 6 going to Clinton. That would give Sanders 3 more delegates, and Clinton 3 fewer delegates, leaving them with: Clinton 20 delegates, Sanders 24 delegates.

This strongly suggests that Sanders got more caucus votes than Clinton.

[2] The caucus votes are being kept secret. Undoubtedly Clinton knows the raw vote totals. If she had won, those vote totals would have been released, or at least leaked.

But there’s been no leak of the raw vote totals by the Clinton team, so Sanders must have won.

I saw that ad last night too. I was YELLING at the TV -
One of the lines was about “a single mom who can’t wait for a raise...” implying that SHillary will what? wave her magic
wand and grant her a raise? WTF?

I was screaming “get a new job...work harder...start your own business!!”

So let me get this straight, Shillary will force business owners to pay their help more. This results in layoffs, business closings....or even if the “mom” in the ad got a raise and all the other people got arbitrary forced raises (aka raising minimum wage)- all that does is raise prices on everything and therefore viscous circle -she needs more money again.

I am so disgusted by Shillary....I need to stop typing - I am a lady and cannot type the words I am thinking!

Thank you. I couldn’t believe how obvious her woman-is-victim tone. Reminds me of the people who want higher minimum wage and then companies layoff people or raise prices in order to follow the directive.
