Set foot in Iowa? Well, maybe now and then, Better Half grew up there and have family there. How about you? Illynoise ain’t Iowa frame of mind-wise.

Who you kidding? Iowa is nothing more than annoying fly-over for Nuevo York big shots. How about you telling us exactly what Donald has previously done for Iowa.

Delegate counts in Iowa: Cruz 8, Trump 7, Rubio 7. Lot of crowing for Cruz’s extra delegate.

Well, I don’t know what you know about Illinois or Iowa frame-of-mind wise. Actually, We are very similar. The entire midwest is flyover country to POLITICIANS—however, Trump does have real estate in Illinois, so he undoubtedly comes to IL. He is not a politician, he’s a business man—so he goes to where he has business interests...not sure he has many in Iowa—Iowa is primarily agriculture related. Wonder how many times Cruz went to Iowa for something other than politicing—I doubt he ever did.

Actually sadly, Iowa has its very liberal pockets where the universities are—just like Illinois, get outside the cities, and you have conservatives. Like Illinois, Iowa went for Obama for the past 2 presidential elections.

Oh my son went Iowa State, his wife’s family (who I visit annually) lives up by Decorah, and my parents were from Cedar Rapids and were ISU grads, so I know quite a lot about Iowa.

I was at a Rally 2 weeks ago, and Trump mentioned how he has helped Iowans—one example I recall.. was someone losing their farm several years ago, and he saved it from foreclosure. Still in contact with the family. I seem to recall mention of him saving an industry in a small town as well—these were done years ago—with no political intent.

I just find the stereotyping by people who don’t know unfortunate.

They are being cussed right now for being stupid and living like pigs.

ANd the above is another example of the unfortunate stereotyping — You have no proof or source for this—it is just an antagonistic swipe at Trump.

Cruz won Iowa—although now there is question about what was said about Carson quitting at the caucus centers...Trump got 5 delegates, Cruz 6.

We will see how the rest of the primary cycle goes. I wouldn’t gloat too much.

Well, my son lives in Texarkana and he has never heard the term. Trump is not in the oil business, perhaps the term is limited to them.

It was a concession speech, I seriously doubt he meant it as a diss to Iowa—you just don’t like Trump and took a swipe at nothing.

Conservative Americans are not stupid enough to blindly follow a liberal trying to pretend to be conservative who’s only campaign attribute is scowling at the camera and spewing untrue personal attacks on other candidates.

Oh, that tactic seems to work on some, thank our lucky stars that many don’t get sucked in on the super promoted ‘Trump can get away with it’ hype that obviously tickles your fancy.

As I said on another thread, I wish there was someone who could somehow broker a truce between Cruz and Trump (Maybe Limbaugh?). I am pro-Cruz, but last nights Rube resurgence scares the hell out of me. I see an upcoming GOP(e) coup in the form of a short bad boots Floridian.

A reset of the Cruz-Trump coalition would squish that little worm into a grease spot.

Trump mentioned how he has helped Iowans........ in campaign speeches!

That is pure pandering. A person of character doesn’t brag about helping others, the deed is its own reward. One thing Trump has little of is character.

As to Trump not being a politician. In this day and age there seems to be very small differentiation between many of them. So, you wish Trump’s running for POTUS in 2000 doesn’t count?

I heard this random act of kindness mentioned on tv well by others—oh and by Falwell—so Trump does something nice and it just cant count...

No I don’t think little more than exploratory committee on a third party really counts—not like Cruz, someone who has spent their whole life in academia or government.

Here is NPR Recounting of his 2000 bid:

In 2000, Trump was among five candidates listed on the Reform Party primary ballot in California. He had filed papers the previous autumn to become a member of that party and one of its presidential candidates. Although he had withdrawn from the race months earlier and did not campaign for the primary in California, he received 15,311 votes in the June event, 44 percent of the total.

How judgmental you are...Falwell and others have mentioned kind things Trump has done—we only need look to the Vets last week...but then I am guessing you would slam that too.

I would ask you tho how many times did Cruz help anyone besides himself? In Iowa or anywhere else ever—He is the definition of a career politician—planning his entire life, but his followers can’t see it.

Glad Cruz people have found their Jesus...only problem is that he isn’t.

Plus one other prez that wasn’t CFR was Reagan.

I wonder who else wasn’t CFR.

Is the Donald connected in any way to the CFR?
