Insiders: Trump and Clinton Will Carry Iowa
politico.com ^ | February 1

When The POLITICO Caucus debuted in mid-February of last year, a majority of Iowans said Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker would win the caucuses if they were held then. Now, nearly a year later, roughly the same number -- 60 percent --see Donald Trump as the winner when the votes are counted Monday night.

Few on either side doubted last February that Hillary Clinton would win Iowa. Now, Democrats still expect her to win -- but Republicans don't.

That's according to members of The POLITICO Caucus-- a panel of influential strategists, operatives and activists in Iowa and the three other states that will cast ballots later in February: New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.

Insiders.... Look up Merriam-Webster and find the synonymous word.....Establishment.

Pundits are like rectums, etc. etc.

Let the caucus goers decide.

The betting odds are holding strong for Trump and are slipping for Cruz. Betting odds are usually better predictors than polls.

Yea, but The POLITICO Caucus is nothing but Insiders. Political Whores is my definition. Kinda like Mary Matalin and “Cue Ball” Carville. Laughing all the way to the bank; the only thing in common between them and their profession.

Thanks for the mention.

You’re right.

This was referencing a consensus by insiders. Oops...

I should have caught that.

These insiders seem to like to change their mind on a daily basis. Like the rest of us they make stuff up based on who they like until a few days before and election then they pick based on the most recent poll for that day. I’d like to sign up for that gig.

"Trump is not an insider."

This myth has been trotted out repeatedly, but you can't get more "insider" on the outside of government than Ducking Donald. Trump has built his wealth through 'favors' from his bought and paid for cronies on the "inside", like Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Natzy Pelosi, and the Clintons.

The Iowa Democrat caucus attendees, almost exclusively made up of the most liberal people in Iowa and whoever can be bussed in from elsewhere (yes, it happens, we are dealing with DEMOCRATS here), must be sorely conflicted. Herself is the token female, and after having the first token black (actually halfbreed) as President, how better than to follow it with another “oppressed” minority? Never mind that females now actually constitute slightly more than half the population in the territory once known as “the United States of America”, and they are given opportunity in lopsided proportion to the dwindling male population.

Bernie has the distinct advantage of being the more likable person in this race, and his appeal to millennials is unmistakable, as he promises them forgiveness of student loan debt and free higher education until they reach middle age.

Of course, neither one of them offers any clue as to how all this is going to be paid for, other than “tax the rich”, a progressive approach to financing all the schemes ever proposed since the beginning of time.

Trump will carry. And Sanders will, too.

Young voters will go for Sanders. They know no one trusts Hillary.

Thank you for confirming he's an outsider.

Trump has built his wealth through 'favors' from his bought and paid for cronies on the "inside", like Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Natzy Pelosi, and the Clintons.

Name three things any of these people did that made Trump more rich. Thanks in advance.

And somebody or somebodies stiffed him and he is out to collect. I have always seen this as nothing more as the original catalyst for him going after the establishment. Striking the populist tone just catapulted him.

Trump is a crony capitalist. HE brags about buying politicians. A crony capitalist is an insider who buys favors from politicians to get treatment not available to “normal” citizens.

Failing to provide one Instance of this:

Name three things any of these people did that made Trump more rich. Thanks in advance.

You now charge him with fraud.

Please provide three instances where Trump committed fraud.

“Trump is not an insider.”

Definitely not.

But the title refers to insiders predicting that Trump and Hillary will win ;)
