My mind tells me yes but, remembering the recent incident where the “volunteer” shot and killed a man “accidentally” my heart tells me proceed with extreme caution on arming non professional people. This incident was video taped and the guy killed was a non felon, as I recall.

I think, on such volunteer neighborhood watches, personnel that were armed would have to be licensed cops either off duty or retired.

You could possibly have 2 man/woman patrols with one armed and one not, or SOMETHING like that.
