He’s most likely in a while longer, but let’s face it, a loss in Iowa will be devastating to his campaign.
He was pretty much all in for Iowa with the hope that a win there could keep him afloat until the SEC Super Tuesday elections.

A second place finish for Cruz won’t hurt him, but a third place finish will badly hurt. The expectations for Cruz in NH are limited since there are fewer conservatives in NH. Cruz is actually biding his time. The true test date for Cruz is March 1, which is the date of the SEC primary. He believes that is where his true strength lies and he is probably correct.
