How many debates do they really need? This circular firing squad is nuts.

“How many debates do they really need? This circular firing squad is nuts.”

And the problem is they aren’t debates at all. They are agenda driven charades where journalists try to tip the balance by making some candidates look bad and others good.
Journalist now are salivating at the through of taking Trump and Cruz down.

The RNC. . . well, I guess you can’t fix stupid. But they should structure the “debates” as formal debates without any journalists and without questions. The topics should be circulated beforehand and the candidates can state their positions and respond to the positions of other candidates.

As many as it takes (in the MSM minds) to deflate voter turnout by staging traps and gotcha questions in order to get a negative sounding soundbite that can be looped endlessly.

Discussing and actually debating issues with each other? not so much.

Apparently they need three-hundred seventy-four trillion, four-hundred ninety-seven billion, seven-hundred and twelve million, five-hundred and sixty-two thousand, one-hundred and forty-one debates.

And not one less, dam you.

Actually, the last one was very good (the no-Trump one) because it really gave a chance to size up the candidates. I think some of them should go away - Kasich, Paul and Carson, for example, and Fiorina should move up again - but the point is that the debates do give the voters a non-campaign appearance opportunity to see and hear the candidates.

The press and pollsters get into the “who won the debate” thing, but that’s not really what it’s all about.

Because of the way the RNC has mangled the debate process it was a circus before trump ebbed said word one. Frankly I think Trump is better off (as are all the other candidates) without the ridiculous side shows that the RNC has offered.

No wonder voters are fed up and disgusted

Look at each debate as another slim opportunity for the GOP to bring Trump and Cruz down and elevate Jeb! and Rubio.

Trump was wise to avoid the Fox News debate. They were loaded for bear and all they could do was attack Cruz. Cruz should have bowed out, too, when he got wind of their pre-debate games. It’s obvious they are after Cruz and Trump.

I don’t think Cruz knew just how low Fox could go. They are beating MSNBC at the left wing dirt wrestling propaganda game. That is not a good thing for MSNBC and won’t work for Fox either.

The correct answer is 42.

Everybody knows that is why Democrats limited their debates to what? 3? All to protect Hillary from any snipper fire.

Yes.. a very good question.

I'm afraid the establishment wants to debate until one of their preferred candidates appears to win.

So far, EVERY online poll of consequence shows Trump has won ALL SEVEN debates, including this last one, and he didn'y even participate.

If Trump were an establishment candidate they would have already declared it as being over.

**DRUDGE POLL** WHO IS YOUR REPUBLICAN PICK FOR PRESIDENT?
