Alabama's Jeff Sessions sure knows how to nurse a grudge. Talking about his family earlier this year, the Republican senator recalled that "Lincoln killed one of them at Antietam."
(SNIP) A short, wiry man with protruding ears, Sessions has become the Lou Dobbs of the Senate. He argues his points not with the courtly Southern tones of the late senator Howell Heflin (D), his predecessor, but with the harsh twang of a country tough -- which, in a sense, he is. Sessions was one of just nine senators to oppose a ban on torture. He has raised objections about renewing the Voting Rights Act.
(SNIP) And if his current fight in the Senate appears unwinnable, Sessions also knows how to turn defeat into victory.
(SNIP) This may not be the best way to broaden the Republican appeal, but that's not Sessions's worry. "I'm beyond politics," he said yesterday. His opponents would readily agree.

Jeff Sessions, original “Wacho-Bird”.
Torture is rough but keep in mind it is not killing which is what the Islamists want to, and have done, to innocent Americans.
I like Jeff and am happy that one of his guys is advising Trump
I think Jefferson Sessions would make an excellent VP selection for POTUS Donald J Trump

I like Sessions- Substance over Style any day- one of the few left in Congess who is worthy of the oath he took to protect the Constitution. I would be a little surly myself surrounded by so many traitors.
I agree1

Amazing. I've only seen Sessions once in person, and from a medium distance as he was giving a speech from a podium, but my impression of him was that he is modestly patrician and a patriot, speaks a truth that transcends his regional accent, and carries himself a great deal more gentlemanlike than Dana Milbank.
Sessions is a classic Southern gentleman. He is and always been the real deal. That’s why he was unopposed in the last primary and general election. Truly a great patriot.
Sessions is a much better man than Milbank.
Remember,it was Juan MeCain, calling Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and the Conservative wing names for not following in line with him and other Rinos' to give Obama what he wanted.
Yes that’s true.
