There is a small town in MI where muslims are the majority and so is their local elected officials. Yes, it's called Hammtramck, Michigan, it used to be primarily a Polish community. Its a short ways from Detroit and they too have their call to prayer. When hubby and I were overseas there was a muslim mosque 2 or 3 blocks from the hotel we were in and every morning about 4 am, the imam would cut loose. It is the most god awful screeching you ever wanted to hear.

It sounds awful and they should be done for disturbing the peace, but of course they are muslims, yet another protected species along side homosexuals, and other minorities.
