A CNN source said the network would likely air parts of the Trump event live and other networks are expected to give it live coverage as well.

Trump announced on Twitter a dedicated website, DonaldTrumpForVets.com, for his supporters to donate funds for military veterans.

“It is my great honor to support our Veterans with you!” Trump tweeted. The website, however, did not specify any particular charity to which the funds would go.

Too many debates. Too many pointless candidates. Enough already.

Let's be honest. Does this help or hurt Trump?

Trump is the master media manipulators. A skill he learned in the Tabloid filled NYC he worked in. They eat famous people for lunch daily.

Fox News is HATED by a large group of Democrats and Independents. This will just help him with that group of cross over voters.

Trump supporters will just be convinced it shows Donald is not beholding to anyone.

Media management will look at the dropped TV ratings and decide if they want to make advertising money they have to play nice with Trump and by his rules.

People who study the issues will see that Fox News with is Hispanic and Muslim questioners were trying to do a “hit” piece on Donald. They will view Trumps refusal to play as Trump doing a “Rope a Dope” allowing FoxNew to throw its verbal punches at a phantom figure where it doesn't score against him.

Trump and Cruz are close in Iowa, but Trump is way ahead in Hew Hampshire. By not participating, if for some reason Trump looses Iowa and wins New Hampshire he has a face saving excuse of he should have participated in the debate.

Will the Democratic party ever say that FoxNews is a “real news channel that Trump was ignoring? NO.

Will Fox News throw a hissy fit given Trump all kinds of free name recognition publicity about this? Yes. The old adage of any publicity, even if it is bad publicity that is free is a good thing still holds.

Trump as the master media manipulator again wins. Sorry media, you have met your match.

I'm a Trump man. The move was a risk, so I don't know how the voters will react. We'll see if the bold move pays off.

As far as the media goes, how often do you hear a news story that does NOT include some variation of "Donald Trump won't be there"?

They’re not debates. They might as well put some food on the podiums and let them turn into food fights.
Nothing but gotcha questions. The so called journalists have become the story, not the candidates.

Well, to be fair, not all of them.

Lightweight Journalist Megyn Kelly is the only one.

(I love that brand that Trump tagged her with. I'll use it every time I say her name.)

“Fox News is HATED by a large group of Democrats and Independents. This will just help him with that group of cross over voters.”

Trump is betting heavy on this.

“I totally agree, and the format stinks.”

Yes, it’s time the media were shown the door in the election process. They’ve come to believe that they have the right to select our candidates ( along with the GOPe).

I just checked the transcript of the “debate” with the first MeGyn gotcha question for Trump (the Rosie question). It’s 135 words. That’s not a question, it’s a speech.

The media wants special deference because they’re the referees - don’t you dare look at them sideways or it’s a technical foul. Problem is, they’re in the pile eye gouging.

Their sanctimony when bragging about their Constitutional role is negated by their shameless self promotion. Otherwise why do all of them have an agent like Hollywood stars?

Of course not. This circus is not about charity. Its about providing cover for a candidate skipping a debate 4 days before voting begins because he fears the undecided Iowans will actually be tuning in.

Sure, there are thousands, maybe tens of thousands of people who have lived under rocks or in trees, and haven’t made up their minds about who they want to caucus for.
