The left's favorite trick is to trot out a single individual who is unlike the problematic aspect of a category of people (such as people who want socialized medicine) and whines about their personal story; the infinitesimal fraction of one percent must be allowed to hijack the 99.99% -- no expense spared.
We saw this with the SCHiP negotiations, the ObamaCare run-up -- "Oh, but MY child's inability to do homework must be paid for by the taxpayers!" -- and similar pandering. Have a care for the Budget? No way. As a result we have Death Panels.
The self-involved nation's battle of "one against one." It's hard to see how we can ever recover from this generation of pansified narcissists.
