It's election fever-season, and people get more and more involved with ever-tinier assertions, discoveries, and betrayals. I'm sure I'm doing it, too.

This is silly stuff, and the Sundance site seems, for sheer reckless fury, to be among the silliest. I guess to make a living this way, you have to keep coming up with new twists. It's funny how every other significant conservative voice turns out to be a dangerous Soros mole. Reminds me of PC salesmen talking about Apple computers or phones.

We'd be lucky to have Trump, Cruz, or half the guys in Morton Blackwell's Rollodex, as POTUS. We need to make sure the infighting, hair-splitting, and demonization doesn't hit such idiotic heights that we can't manage to elect a conservative by the end of the year.

So, Free Republic has become the “All Sundance, All The Time” website.

Sundance has no credibility. She is on Trump’s campaign team, and serves only as Trump PR. She has forfeited her right to be taken seriously.

Just because Republicans feared to challenge Obama’s citizenship does not mean that Democrats won’t raise persistent court challenges to Cruz, Rubio, Haley, etc.

I have heard that Cruz has sealed some documents.

IF true, why would that be necessary?

As Time magazine once said,

“Everything that was wrong, venal, lazy and mendacious about GM in the 1980s was crystallized in this flagrant insult to the good name and fine customers of Cadillac.”

And there is influence if your are foreign born. I have lived in this country since the age of 11, I am a naturalized citizen, but I still defend my country of birth if anyone makes derogatory comments. I’m a loyal American, vote in every election, do my homework about the candidates and issues, have always held a job until retirement, and never had to rely on social services for help. but I still feel affection for my country of birth. I attended citizenship classes before achieving citizenship, and know I could never run for President or V.P., the highest offices in the land.

If Trump were a tyrant / fascist, you'd think Faux news would have on the endless parade of former Trump employees b!tching about what kind of an ahole he is.

Since Cruz and Rubio are out, who's your pick.....Huckabee or Carson?

“Depending on how close Trump is to the Clinton crime family he might be impeachable on day one.”

I have a bit of worry on that factor, too. I read on one of the blogs the Clintons have a complete dossier on Trump and are ready to expose it if he is the nominee. Out of a huge field of Republican candidates, there are only a few who are totally honorable in my opinion...and they are way down in the pecking order.

So I guess there is no need for a lawsuit - Fox News has decided. I’ll have to re-read my copy of the Consitution as don’t remember Fox News being named as the arbiter of citizenship issues.

Your mention of Rubio getting under the radar is mistaken. There has already been a lawsuit file against him as to eligibility in Florida and his lawyers have submitted a brief to the court to have the suit dismissed. I do not know if the judge has ruled yet.

Aha!
An “upscale” Chevy Impala constructed in Canada and given a Cadillac badge.

Is that an implication aimed at Cruz?

“I don’t think Cruz’s mother was a U.S. Citizen at the time that Cruz was born in Canada, I think she have up her U.S. Citizenship and figured they would live in Canada.”

Do you have any evidence of this? She would have had to:

(1) appear in person before a U.S. consular or diplomatic officer, in a foreign country (normally at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate); and
(2) sign an oath of renunciation

If she renounced her U.S. citizenship, there would be records on file at the U.S. Embassy in Canada and at the U.S. Department of State, and an “enterprising” opponent of Cruz most likely would have uncovered them by now.

I suspect Cruz’ Mom was unmarried when she had Ted in Canada. Under U.S. law an unmarried woman giving birth in a foreign country, the child is automatically an American citizen by statute (that was all covered when Obummer was running.) (The child born thus, is not natural born, though...that is why Obummer keeps claiming he was born in Hawaii...so he can sneak in under the “natural born” issue.) I have no trouble with the fact Ted is an American citizen...but wonder if his mother had the foresight to have him declared so by registering the birth with the American Consulate in Canada. Ted has questions to answer in this regard as it may affect his Senate position IMO.

Birth and naturalization at birth records are public after 100 years. The function of that policy is to stifle identity theft, and to protect personal privacy.

Cruz has access to his own records, of course (as you do to yours), and can make them public if he wants. Since there is no official "vetting" of qualifications for office, he can hide his history, with pressure coming only when the public has doubts.

His admitted birth in Canada makes him naturalized. There is no need to see any records. Just "see law."
