“the low expectations all of a sudden...is the internal polling not looking good in Iowa?”

All the new polls coming out show even more daylight between Trump (frontrunner) and Cruz. In the case of Huffpo poll, Trump has double the amount of support.

Dana Bash, the lead political person at CNN, just wrapped up a two-day segment on Heidi Cruz.

It was glowing. It portrayed her and the Cruz campaign in a very respectful and positive way.

As you know, I'm a Trump supporter, and they've been very fair to our guys, and to all the Republican candidates.

In the spirit of friendship, I'll give you the cut-and-paste from the sit-down. They also did a lot of coverage of her on the campaign trail, which was also very positive. Sorry, but I don't know how to do direct links.

The response from the talking heads panel afterwards was universally positive, from both Republicans and Democrats.

Cruz sounded desperate on Hannity tonight. Or just too much coffee. :-)

Actually, the article title changed after I posted it, but even if it didn’t, what the hell difference does that make?

Apparently, it’s fair game for every bit of raving lunacy from Red State to be posted here multiple times, but an article from CNN is somehow inappropriate, because you don’t like what it says?

For what it’s worth, I think Cruz wins Iowa. But what do I know? I just feel that Iowa voters really like their feeling of self-importance and the media is going to ram this skipped debate right down Iowa’s throat. If Trump wins Iowa he’s a frickin genius.

If Cruz loses Iowa, it’s serious trouble for him.

TED CRUZ will hold his own at the debate.

Only cuz Trump won’t be there. Cruz should look at it as a gift but he complains about everything. If I were Cruz, I’d look out for Rubio who beat the crap out of him last debate. Cruz might even end up 4th on Monday night.

Good for you. I support my candidate although I don’t use this board to do it.

One should always support their candidate if they can but I don’t believe Trump wants more from us than our vote. Anything else from us is a bonus, much appreciated.

I love how some people thought Fox News was conservative. They’re center-left, whereas CNN is left and MSNBC is far left. There is no center-right or right wing channel and never will be.

CNN is no ones friend.. OAN said they would broadcast the Trump event. I would rather give them the ratings. Verizon FIOS 116 regular 616 HD.

I think desperate. He’s been sounding pretty desperate in all of his statements today. ;)

I don’t recall saying that you were. But I can clarify and say that the bundlers are also acting pretty strangely.

Case in point: you hypocritically criticizing me for posting an article from CNN just because you don’t like what it says.

“should he lose, he may never be able to break through as GOP voters look elsewhere for an anti-Trump candidate”

Really? Who would that be? Not sure there are any candidates I prefer over Trump other than Cruz.

Cruz supporters are not going anywhere, unless of course Trump wins and picks Cruz as his VP. He’s MUST get Cruz supporters. There is no path to victory in the general without them.

Cruz (And PACs) has spent more money in Iowa than any other candidate.

Cruz has 12,000 volunteers and over 800 staffers in Iowa.

He has to win it. He spent his wad there.

Certainly he's acting like it's over for him if he doesn't.

Meanwhile Trump will skip the debate and was campaigning in North Carolina today.

Those tea leaves are not hard to read.

I watched a clip of Cruz this evening on television the one where he “joked” about Trump being afraid of Megyn and how he was a “fragile soul”. My first thought was that he probably should not be giving up his day job to become a stand-up comedian. Then my wife said that even if Trump starts to fade... that according to the latest polls Cruz just offended 40% of Republican voters. If Trump fades does Cruz think that the people who were offended by his remarks and the many obnoxious remarks by his supporters are going to be soon forgotten? Is that a winning strategy?

OAN. Have you ever listened to Ledger or Wheeler? They are on the right, along with Leuffen. Wheeler has some “ouch” zingers in her editorials. Did she actually say that? LOL

3 more debates coming in Feb.
One in NH before the NH primary
One in SC before the SC primary
One in Texas before the SEC primary

I believe both Trump and Cruz will still be around by the third one.

After the events of the last 2 days, will both participate?

Who else may still be hanging on?

IA. NH, and SC, frankly, only have importance to those who make a living at this thing. By that, I mean politicians and the media.

Ask Huckabee and Santorum faired after IA.

Us political junkies hang to this stuff.

Most people do not, and just live their daily lives, working, raising families, and do not pay attention until this circus comes to their towns.

The SEC primary will most likely give us the nominee.

Neither Trump or Cruz needs to win the first 4 primaries, they just need to stay 1-2 even 3, going into the SEC primary, no matter what the media and the politicians tell us.

An Iowa win for Cruz means he can hold on for a while, an Iowa win for Trump means the money wills start to dry up and after NH, it will be gone. Once Trump starts to run the table noone is going to throw good money after bad.

South Carolina. Trump got the endorsement of the Lt Governor. Appointed by Niki Haley when the previous one resigned in August.
