I see something in Trump, though, that is very familiar to me. It’s the concept of creating chaos in your opponent’s house as a revolutionary tactic. Or to put it another way, being a disrupter.
The now deceased Abbie Hoffman and Trump seemingly have little in common. While Hoffman rejected capitalism Trump embraces it.
Yet they both employed the same tactic. Hoffman tried to create chaos in the economic system, but never really succeeded. Trump has succeeded in creating utter chaos in everyone else’s house (Republican Party, Fox News, other candidates, basically anyone who crosses his path).
That’s only half the equation, though. It’s not just enough to create chaos in others. The second part is to create community within your own house. Hoffman never was good at that; in business Trump has been good at building his own house.

Obama went after FNC in 2009 and they did even better afterward and will also with Trump's circus like antics.

Trump is one of the few people I’ve seen who channel Sun Tzu maxiums effortlessly.
This ain’t religion, it’s an election.
Trump is not running as a ‘conservative.’ He’s not for open borders and ‘free trade’ and is moderate on social issues.
He’s running as a populist / nativist. Recent parallels politically to his position include Pat Buchanan - America First / anti-NAFTA.
Most recent Presidential campaigns like Trump are those of Richard Nixon. Nixon was hated by the media and the Country Club Republicans. Though a billionaire, Trump’s father started with nothing and was a fairly successful minor low income housing builder / landlord. Trump’s tone and style is working class New Yorker.
Nixon was also not a conservative. He opened dialogue with China and signed EPA legislation.
Trump’s nativism is reflected in closing the borders, keeping Muslims out, America first economically, and that’s the base of his appeal.
Trump can cross over to union voters (rebuilding infastructure) and blacks (jobs and stopping illegals taking working class jobs).
Trump’s appeal also hasn’t begun to sink in yet. MSM has put out a ‘right wing loon’ spin on Trump and he’s only beginning to make his case. He could provide Republicans with his biggest win since Reagan’s re-election.

They have always been in the bag for Ted 100%. Nothing wrong with that.
But, unlike you, I don’t really care how someone else feels about a candidate nor will it change my vote.
He's even made guest appearances on FoxNews... He can relate to the pain Fox's elite's 'suffer'... He empathizes with first-world elite 'pain'...
Political elites he knows in DC also feel their lives are ‘on the right track’... Sometimes when he wants to appear ‘sensitive’ he expresses concern things aren't going well in the country... but in fact he doesn't feel pain for the everyday man... it's an act.
He and his friends overlook the high suicide rates in the country, the high and getting higher drug addictions within the middle class. They ignore the despair over illegals and job losses. HIS job is secure...he's not training his replacement ... Cheap labor works for him - illegals keep the masses on their toes ... slavery lite and all... He and his friends don't need Trump - and isn't that all the really matters? Maintaining the status quo, not rocking the boat - the boat that keeps him and his 'on the right track'...
