stated that Megyn had a 'rough couple of days after the last debate' and he (Lewandoski) 'would hate to have her go through that again.'"

This is pure ignorance. That's isn't a threat even if delivered by the Mafia. It isn't structured like a threat, it contains no promise of future harm, and it rises all the way to how someone 'feels'.

In other words, it's SARCASM.

But, why expect honesty from a media that for months has left the word "temporary" off of Trump's words about 'banning Muslims'.

I’m a Cruz supporter and I agree. If her cat were missing, or something, then I’d see that as more than “Are you sure you want to go through this again?”

It’s a tough position. If Fox pulls Kelly, Fox looks like it’s being dictated to.

If Fox tells Kelly to give Trump soft questions, Kelly herself may walk and if she plays along, it still looks like Fox is being dictated to.

If Trump shows, and Kelly gives him a question that is unfair (according to Trump), the moderator becomes the story, which is not good for Fox, and might help Trump.

Trump doesn’t need this debate. Limited upside and an unknown downside.

Ailes cannot capitulate to Trump, or he gets more of the same, and not just from debates, but fromnews in general. (This already happens, but never publicly)
