The Voters’ Trump Love Affair Explained in Terms Even Beltway Pundits Can Understand
American Thinker ^ | January 25, 2016 | Selwyn Duke

Donald Trump's rise this election season has been historic, amounting to something heretofore unseen in the annals of American politics. Given this, it's perhaps not surprising that many are still befuddled by the phenomenon. Pundit Charles Krauthammer is bewildered, saying that "for some reason" Trump "is immune to the laws of contradiction." (In reality, Democrats get away with contradiction continually; the only difference is that the media actually report on Trump's.) Also in the news recently is that some find his appeal among evangelicals "inexplicable." Of course, it's all quite explainable.

In an earlier piece -- which I strongly urge you to read -- I expanded on certain factors evident in the Trump phenomenon. Trump is

tapping into anger against the Establishment and over immigration and is a plain-spoken breath of fresh air. sounding a nationalistic note in an age where it is not the "elite" norm. not campaigning as conservative but a populist, which, almost by definition, tends to make one popular in an era of mass discontent. a crusader against hated political correctness, which has stifled tongues and killed careers nationwide. And in being the first prominent person to defeat the thought police (at least for now) -- and by not cowering and apologizing to them -- he has become a hero.

As I wrote, "[W]hen you have a hero, leading the troops in the heat of battle against a despised oppressor, you don't worry about his marriages, past ideological indiscretions or salty language. You charge right behind him." This is largely why Trump's contradictions don't matter. More can be said.

I mention the fault of "mirroring," which most everyone exhibits and is when you project your own ideals, values, priorities and mindset onto others. It's particularly amusing when pundits and politicians comment on the electorate

This brings us to what Trump now has. It's something all successful politicians have to a degree and that every iconic one has in spades: an emotional bond with his supporters.

The most important thing Trump is doing: Driving a stake thru the heart of Political Correctness.
Political Correctness is managing to do what the Nazis, Commies and muzzies could not: Bring America to its KNEES.

Trump hasn't been part of the eGOP "scene" in DC and those that have spent their entire lives climbing the social ladder in the eGOP are scared they won't retain their positions if Trump wins. Period. THAT is why they oppose Trump.

In part, the Trump boom is personal, not political. Trump is an alpha male. Obama is a gamma metrosexual. Obama thinks he is an alpha-plus-plus metrosexual, but he is really an affirmative action alpha. Obama constantly and condescendingly attacks the whole idea of alpha males and the US as an alpha nation.

“Donald Trump’s rise this election season has been historic, amounting to something heretofore unseen in the annals of American politics.”

Close enough to “hitherto unknown”.

So, I do believe it was destined to take the place of the mud shark in my mythology.

It’s called RAGE.

Want to work?
Want sovereignty?
Want globalists and traitors crushed into sand?
Want to be Americans?
Want American exceptionalism?
Want to deserve this country?
Want to STOP illegals and traitors derailing this country?
Want your progeny to have work, a country, pride in country, safety?

What’s not to understand?

Is he perfect?
Far from it.
Is he a social liberal?
Yes.
Is he a ‘deal maker’?
Yes.
Is he a leader?
Yes.
Is there proof of his success-and failure to learn from both?
Yes.
Will he hire on experts for guidance, advice, and in-fighting?
Yes.
Will/does he get in the mud?
Yes.
Does he play to win?
Yes.

Disagree if you like. The time for lies and loss of what America is is over.

Send the 535 home. All but a handful are traitors anyway. More, many more, if you count agency personnel.

Ping.

When FDR was just entering politics as a young man, he met an elderly gentleman who, as a youth, had heard Andrew Jackson speak.

I'm noting a lot of comparisons here, besides the obvious one of comparing "Jackson and Reform" to "Make America Great Again," or the fact that both men spoke to their audiences at a third grade level.

In the 1820s, large portions of this country were illiterate or just literate enough to read the Bible, preferring memorization to actual reading. Compulsory education was mostly a product of the Progressive Movement after the Civil War. Today large portions of America are barely literate because the public school system has for several generations deliberately educated Americans to think like serfs looking to government as their lord, rather than thinking critically like free citizens.

This article deserves more attention than it is getting because it cuts so close to the bone.

Rush put this differently the other day. Trump speaks in code that all Americans understand. “Make America Great Again” means winning, means making the American economy grow, means rebuilding the middle class. You don’t need a 10 point plan on how to do that, because results are all that matter anyway.

If you’re a football coach and your plan is to run the ball, but they put nine men in the box, your first play better be a play fake bomb. Trump’s language is American victory, American greatness. Who else is talking about that? With Rubio, it’s all about “I’m going to add this carrier group and this fighter wing.” Even Cruz gets bogged down into the “10 things he’ll do” his first day in office. All well and good-—and I approve of them-—but to the guy on the street, he’ll say, “And how is my life going to be better?” Well, tell him THAT to start. Why bother with the details that will change along the way.

This cogent analysis should be sent to the National Review, lest they end up in the dustbin of publishing history.

Too late. You should see them on Twitter. They are in a blame fest among Yeb and Rubio as to who is most guilty for “allowing” Trump to lead.

Like we the sheeple have no choice.
