Greece threatened with expulsion from Schengen over migration crisis

European Union interior ministers urged Greece on Monday to do more to control the influx of migrants, some threatening to have it excluded from the continent's prized passport-free travel zone as the crisis increasingly divides bloc members.

Greece was the main gateway to Europe for more than a million refugees and migrants who reached the EU last year. It has been criticized for a failure to control the flow of arrivals, which has shown little sign of easing over the winter.

Some member states said Athens must deliver on obligations to alleviate the crisis, which has put the passport-free Schengen zone - hailed by many as the greatest achievement of European integration - on the verge of collapse.

"If we cannot protect the external EU border, the Greek-Turkish border, then the Schengen external border will move toward central Europe," said Austria's Interior Minister Interior Minister Johanna Mikl-Leitner.

"Greece must increase its resources as soon as possible and accept help," she said.

It seems to me the EU is as intent on destroying Greece as the Greeks are.

If the so-called refugees are bottled up in Greece, they'll become another Middle East hell-hole and burn from within.

Greek response -- Okay, as long as Germany pays for it.

The EU is anti-nation, anti-autonomy. They are open in the desire to boil all of humanity down into an indistinguishable mush. That is the NWO, globalism, transnationalism. The American elites subscribe to the same seditious and malevolent doctrines.

Germany, main destination for refugees and migrants fleeing war and poverty in the Middle East and Africa, hopes a November deal agreed with Turkey will mean fewer migrants arrive in Greece. But it is yet to bear fruit.

So the German Kafirs expect the Muslim Turks to slow down the Muslim invasion of Europe. How naive. -Tom

Macedonia is currently separating the refugees from the economic migrants, only letting through those from Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria who list Germany or Austria as their intended destination. Which means they get turned around and sent back to Greece.

Turkey is enabling the human smugglers and creating the chaos in Greece. Greece has been abandoned by the EU... particularly Germany. Yes their country is badly managed monetarily... but given where the migrants end up, on small islands not capable of handling the flow, it’s not surprising the Greeks are at a loss at what to do.

The refugees and migrants are receiving false information in their home countries. They see social media posts proclaiming you receive an apartment, car and high paying job once in Germany. There are also plenty of videos on the internet explaining to North Africans how to get into Germany from Turkey. ie. Buy a round trip ticket to Turkey, destroy your identity/Passport. Claim to be Syrian.

Once in Germany, someone without a passport can’t be repatriated without a great deal of difficulty... as their home countries won’t take them without official papers.
It’s a complete mess... and Merkel is directly to blame.

Europeans don't know how to use Social Media to tell the truth to these people? No apartment, high paying job or car...

OR do European elites want the cheap labor and this is an excuse?

AH! There’s Merkel gyrating, belly-dancing and beckoning these immigrants, and it’s Greece’s fault?

Part of this is only just being reported in the media. Slowly people are translating the posts and videos from Arabic into German...who knows how much the govt knows and is tracking... Merkel doesn’t want to lose face and is sticking to her plan.
Yes... I do think the impetus was cheap labor and Merkel hoped more of the migrants would be better educated.

Clearly the anger we read about from the migrants/refugees is reflected in their shock at learning they weren’t be given the things they imagined right away.
I’m certainly not excusing it... but I think the posts they are seeing, and the rumor mongering has a more insidious purpose. It only benefits Isis to empty out communities and towns across the middle east and North Africa... the effect of fomenting chaos becomes much simpler, both in their home countries and in their destination countries.

Germany, France, UK, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, all screaming adn crying to invite the “migrants” in to their country for free stuff and one tiny swath of land, Greece, is invaded by the savages and is literally being destroyed. But it’s Greece’s fault.

They’re broke. If the EU wants better controls they need to send over their own people.

ALWAYS stick the kid, the only kid, in front of the lens (check), hid the close-up of terrorist face (check). Nice life vests they ALL have too, keep them dark so they’re not obvious (check)...I wonder if they’re available in the US.

Yes, there are several groups benefiting from the human misery being created - it's not just German elites... radical Muslims groups benefit too. Good catch Katya.
