No problem. I’ve enjoyed the back and forth!

Anyway, even though we are in opposition, John and I engaged in a good faith analysis of what he chose as applicable law, which was UK law. We both concluded that Trump never had any UK Citizenship, but that he presently holds what is known in UK law as an entitlement.

Not only that, but I always held that even if Trump did have British nationality by descent, that would have ZERO effect on his eligibility under our law. It has always been my position that we can't concern ourselves with other nation's cockamamie citizenship laws, only our own.

Your position is rooted in lack of understanding. Other countries' laws have play in US Courts for citizenship purposes. You would know that it you reviewed and understood some of the case law.

I doubt that very much. So, please give me a citation where a US court used another country's citizenship law to determine an individual's US citizenship.

I’m Slovak, Polack, Hunky and Russian. I guess that makes me a commie even though I teach rifle marksmanship to rednecks.

Ironic.

Trump could, by law, ask and receive UK citizenship.....but, there are UK fools who demand he be banned from the UK?

And, what if Trump runs the table and is elected president? Would the UKers ban a sitting American president?

Where the Hell are the grownups??????
